-Description- Rottweilers mostly look very similar, and are. broad shouldered dogs who are mostly black with tan markings on the cheeks, legs, chest, muzzle, and eyebrows, and their coats are usually short or medium length. They usually are very fond of children, and are bright, playful, very devoted, and quick to learn. They thrive on mental stimulation, so they demand attention if they are not receiving it, and will find creative and sometimes destructive ways to get it if they feel they are being neglected, so they might not be a good dog for you if you cannot spend as much time with them as they deserve. They are normally steady and calm dogs, and are very social to other creatures and people. They usually are not a barker, especially the males, while the females may bark more in order to protect their home or pups. As a result of their little barking, when they do bark it is usually a sign of annoyance with outside factors (car alarms, unfamiliar people or animals, etc.). They have a bad reputation based on their looks, and bad owners, just like some other dogs such as Dobermans and German Shepards. Yet, this reputation is mostly false, and they are very good and attentive dogs if they are under the right influence, and with a good owner. Other than their barking habits, there are little differences between male and female Rottweilers.
