-Description- With big eyes and a scrunched up little nose, Pekingese’s are perfect small dogs. They are an ancient breed of toy dog, originating in China, and the breed is over 2000 years old. They were favored imperial pets, and were considered a guardian spirit, since they resembled Chinese lions. Pekingese’s are small dogs with great big personalities. They can be very stubborn dogs, and are aggressive to other dogs, besides siblings, puppies, and mates. But they can still socialize with other dogs and pets, and become quick friends. They can be trained, although, unlike cats and other dogs, pekingese’s have to be convinced that the traing will be beneficial to THEM as well. But, if they love you, they will do anything, even fight to the death for you. They are generally a one person dog, and are not great around small grabby children, except those who are respectful, and will not harm it.
