-Description- Doberman are very bold and brave dogs, and also quite protective of their family. They are not very comfortable in the cold, so if you live in a cold area, they may not be the dog for you. They love exploring, and get bored easily. They have a very bad reputation because of their looks and rough behavior, but they are actually incredibly sweet if you raise them right. They are very alert, intelligent, and loyal, and they are often used as guard dogs, police dogs, or watch dogs. They are lively and energetic, and they are well suited for you if you have a family, although they don’t like meeting strangers all to much. They usually get their ears and tails cropped at a young age, but in some countries this is now illegal, and you can find many dobermans without their ears or tails cropped. They will only attack if they believe their property, family, or owners are in danger, and they are very loyal and protective.
